My first reaction to using diigo was more so of confusion because I did not exactly know what it was because I never heard of it before. but after being introduced to the subject in class I understand it much better in fact when we did the diigo for the gica I really understood the applications that diigo can have as I can search for articles and then highlight and comment on them so I can keep my thoughts together.
before this class I have never did a blog I always figured for it to not be my thing the thought of conveying my thoughts and feelings onto the web. its never really been something I was into but slowly by commenting and reading other peoples blogs it helps to create a nice perspective on what others do and how they feel. I have learned throuhout the process better skills on transfering internal ideas onto paper.
a nice web 2.0 tool that would be good for teahcing and education would be skype I never really used skype in my elementary or middle school career and in fact I didnt even use it in high school but whenI entered college mainly my senior year zoom was an important aspect of what was needed because with skype I was able to talk to teachers that are online as well as learn and with graduate school interviews skype was the method of choice used for interviews between me and advisors and professors so my review of skype is a high one due to hit being rather easy to use with a solid user interface.
Hi Jamal! Please let me know if you need help with Diigo! I am not expert but I didn't find it confusing. Im glad you used Skype as your Web 2.0 tool. I wouldn't have thought to use Skype but I can see how it would be beneficial in connecting teachers and students as you have experienced in interviews.
ReplyDeleteHi Jamal, I agree that Skype would be a great tool to implement in your own classroom! It's a great video technology that could connect students to their teacher while away from the classroom.
